Our Romance Panel on April 15th features these four fabulous authors:
Rachel Marks studied English at Exeter University before becoming a primary school teacher. After having her first son, she decided to focus mainly on being a mum, teaching one day a week and nurturing her creative side by starting a small photography business.
Despite always loving to write, it wasn’t until she gained a place on the 2016 Curtis Brown Creative online novel writing course that she started to believe it could be anything more than just a much-loved hobby. Her inspiration for her first novel came from the challenges she faced with her eldest son, testing and fascinating in equal measure. When she discovered Pathological Demand Avoidance, a poorly understood Autism Spectrum Disorder, she could finally make sense of her son’s behavior, and the idea for her first novel fell into place.
When not writing, she loves dragging her husband and two boys around Europe to off-the-beaten track and sometimes sub zero destinations, snowboarding and sightseeing, the kind of trips that would undeniably be easier without children but only half the adventure…
Sue Moorcroft is a Sunday Times and international bestselling author of contemporary fiction and has reached the coveted #1 spot on Amazon Kindle with The Christmas Promise. She’s currently contracted by publishing giant HarperCollins under their Avon imprint in the UK, US and Canada and many other publishers in translation.
A Summer to Remember won the Goldsboro Books Contemporary Romantic Novel Award 2020, Love & Freedom won the Best Romantic Read Award and Sue has won the Katie Fforde Bursary.
April 30th release Summer on a Sunny Island is Sue’s sixteenth novel and her short stories, serials, columns, courses and writing guides have appeared around the world.

Heidi lives in beautiful south Norfolk with her family and a mischievous cat called Storm. She is passionate about gardening, the countryside, collecting vintage paraphernalia and reading.
Hayley Doyle is an actress and writer from Liverpool. She gained a BA (Hon) in Acting from LIPA and made her West End debut playing Ali in ‘Mamma Mia!’ at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Hayley also appeared in Peter Pan alongside Brian Blessed and enjoyed touring regionally with new writing projects that all went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Her passion for new writing turned into novel writing and she gained an MA in Creative Writing from Brunel University. It was during her time living in the Emirates that she set up her own company, Hayley‘s Comet, training children and teenagers in all aspects of theatre including writing their own shows. Hayley also became a regular voice presenting on Dubai Eye 103.8. She relocated to the UK in 2016 and lives in London with her husband and their two children.
