Historical fiction author, Nancy Bilyeau, published her first novel in 2010. The Crown, a Tudor thriller which became an Oprah magazine pick and was nominated for the Crime Writers Association’s Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award.
With her fourth novel, a standalone thriller set in the 18th century art world titled The Blue, she told a story of espionage and obsession with the most beautiful color in the world. In creating Genevieve, the Huguenot artist who goes undercover in a porcelain factory, she drew on her own background.
Nancy has now turned her attention to New York City in the past. Her fifth novel, Dreamland, is based in Coney Island and was released on January 16th, 2020. It’s been described as, ‘Extravagant, intoxicating, and thumping with suspense… a story of corruption, class, and dangerous obsession.’
