Leigh Russell


Leigh Russell is the author of the hugely successful Geraldine Steel series. Over 1 million copies have been sold and the books have been translated in various languages. Leigh was shortlisted for the CWA New Blood Dagger Award, and the CWA Dagger in the Library, and twice been Finalist for the People’s Book Prize.

She is a great supporter of emerging writers and chairs the CWA Debut Dagger Judges, as well as being the co-ordinator of the CWA Criminal Critiques service. Leigh is also a Royal Literary Fellow encouraging university students, as well as helping to promote children’s literacy at schools through her support of the charity Coram Beanstalk.

Leigh has been described by the Daily Mail as a “rare talent”. The Times praised her novels as being “well written, soundly plotted, psychologically acute”, of her characters Peter James said they have  “a deeply human voice”.
