JP Delaney is a pseudonym for the British author who writes psychological suspense. He’s the author of four successful international bestselling thrillers with a fifth, Playing Nice being published on 28 July 2020. His debut thriller, The Girl Before was published in over forty countries and was an instant New York Times and Sunday Times Bestseller. The book was also shortlisted for the British Book Awards Crime & Thriller Book of the Year and the Sunday Times Thriller of the Month as well as being the Simon Mayo Radio 2 Book Club Pick.

The blurb begins with, ‘Enter the world of One Folgate Street and discover perfection . . . but can you pay the price?’ This book has also been optioned for film with Ron Howard, of The Da Vinci Code and A Beautiful Mind among others, directing.

His next books Believe Me and The Perfect Wife were also international bestsellers. In Believe Me, Claire, a British drama student is living in New York. She doesn’t have a green card and is forced to take the only job she’s offered, posing as a honeytrap for a firm of divorce lawyers and ending up playing a role that could be the death of her.

Last year’s The Perfect Wife is about Abbie who comes round in a hospital without any idea of how she got there.  The blurb of the book begins with, “There’s something I have to explain, my love,” he says, taking your hand in his. “That wasn’t a dream. It was an upload.”

J.P. Delaney is a pseudonym of Ugandan born British author, Tony Strong and has also written bestselling novels under other names. One of his pseudonyms is Anthony Capella. His first novel in that name, The Food of Love was named a Judy and Richard Summer Read and was translated into more than 19 languages.

He was born in Uganda he grew up in the United Kingdom, has worked as advertising copywriter and produced many TV adverts.  His books have been adapted for TV – Tell Me Lies was adapted into a TV series as, Lie to Me – and film.
