Debbie Young is a British author of the Sophie Sayers Village Mysteries, her sixth novel in the series, Murder Your Darlings is out now. She’s also the author of The St Bride’s Series – School Stories for Grown-Ups. Book 1, Secrets at St Bride’s is out now and was shortlisted for The Selfies Awards 2020 with book 2 to follow Summer 2020. She’s also written another series, Tales From Wendlebury Barrow and book 1, The Natter of Knitters, which is out now.
Debbie is originally from Kent but now lives in a beautiful village in the Cotswolds. She spent four years being educated at the Frankfurt International School before returning to England to earn her BA (Hons) in English and Related Literature at the University of York.
She has been a journalist, PR consultant and spent three years working for the national children’s reading charity Readathon. Debbie was commissioning editor of the Authors’ Advice Centre at the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) a non-profit organisation for self-published authors before leaving to write full-time in 2019.
