Carmel Harrington Bio


Carmel Harrington is an Irish Sunday Times bestselling author whose books are regularly found at the top of the charts and is an Amazon, iBooks and Kobo bestseller.

Her most recent novel, A Thousand Roads Home remained at number one in the Amazon UK Kindle charts for over fifteen weeks, following on from the success of her previous novel, The Woman at 72 Derry Lane, which stood at the top of the Irish Bestseller charts for three months and was shortlisted in the Popular Fiction Book of the Year, Irish Book Award in 2017.

Another of her books, The Things I Should Have Told You was shortlisted in the Newcomer of the Year, Irish Book Award in 2016 and Beyond Grace’s Rainbow won both the Kindle Book of the Year and Romantic eBook of the Year in 2013.

Carmel is published by HarperCollins and her delightful books have been translated in eleven countries and described by the Daily Mail as ‘beautifully written, emotionally intelligent and moving in the extreme.’

She wrote the official ITV novel, Cold Feet The Lost Years, is a well-known TV and radio personality appearing both in the UK, Ireland and America, as well as being a regular panellist on Virgin Media’s Elaine.

If all this wasn’t enough, Carmel is also co-founder of The Inspiration Project, a coaching writing retreat, as well as speaking at schools, in libraries and at literary festivals.

She lives in a small village in County Wexford with her family and their rescue dog, George Bailey.
